The guest editors for this section of Callaloo are: (my) Omi Joni Jones, Ted Gordon, and Celeste Henery!! LAWD2DAY I couldn’t be prouder!!! I am proud because this piece documents a long long Journey of Work that began more than 20 years ago at The University of Texas at Austin. Work that broke ground/Opened portals/and made way for SO much/for SO many (including me)!! The issue includes visual art and writing by scholars, artists and community members that were part of it all. I am grateful to say that I have a piece in dere!
